Dedham Pond ? Back in 2010, when I started producing model kits, I named my company Dedham Pond Designs. It was a nod to the movie GHOST STORY and also to my first production, a bust of Alma Mobley sculpted by William Pacquet. I stuck with that name for about seven years, taking it in stride when it was misspelled, or mispronounced. I explained it again and again, but there was no helping the fact that people just didn't get it. When I decided to try to make a living out of making models, I knew I had to change the name of my company. That's when the much catchier moniker Escape Hatch Hobbies was born. But man, I still loved the name Dedham Pond and I wanted to do something with it. So, when I started writing the novel BELINDA'S KEYBOARDS, I went ahead and named my narrator Dedham Pond. And then I figured, why not use the name myself? That's what I did. And now, Dedham's book is coming soon from Nightmare Press. The Kindle presale is up now. |
